Does it hurt? Some
areas of the body tend to be more sensitive than others, and you may
experience some brief discomfort. While
anesthesia is not required, we sometimes recommend applying a topical
anesthetic (EMLA Cream or similar) about one hour before the procedure to
minimize any discomfort. We
can prescribe this cream in advance or your appointment. Please call

patients should not undergo laser hair removal? Patients with darkly
tanned skin and patients using medications which requires limited exposure
to sunlight (i.e. Tetracycline, Retin A) must follow specific pretreatment

Thanks to our latest upgrade for the LightSheer™ laser, we can now treat all skin colors, even tanned skin; however, best results are accomplished on skin that has been protected from the sun for at least 4 weeks before treatment.
